Happy Holidays from Kepler Interactive!
2023 was a great year for Kepler Interactive. We celebrated our 2nd birthday, grew our team to over 300 people across the world, were recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™, launched our new website and collaborated with a fashion designer on our first capsule collection. And that’s before we even mention any of our games, so let's start there.
The Games
March brought us the launch of the amazing tropical open-world adventure, Tchia. Quickly reaching 1 million players worldwide we couldn’t be more proud of Awaceb and their incredible achievement.
Shortly after that, Sloclap’s Kung Fu brawler Sifu released on Xbox and Steam with the addition of Arenas Mode, a full, free expansion pushing experienced Kung Fu masters to their limits in 45 merciless challenges spread over 9 dynamic locations.
2 million experienced the horror of Ebb Software’s nightmarish adventure Scorn on PC and Steam in 2022, we started October by launching on PlayStation 5 so even more players could experience the horror.
The Awards
We had nominations at The Bafta Game Awards, the TIGAs, the Golden Joystick Awards and I know we said we couldn’t be prouder of Awaceb and their game Tchia, but they went on to win the Games for Impact award at The Game Awards. Here’s a video of the team hearing the announcement for the first time.
On a company level, we were delighted to win the Indie Publisher of the Year award at the MCV/Develop Awards.
And we were also ecstatic to be listed as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ and Best Workplaces in Tech™.
Next Up
Alongside all of the amazing things that happened this year, we announced projects we can't wait for you to play that launch in 2024.
The inimitable Hadoque unveiled Ultros, their debut psychedelic delight during the PlayStation Showcase. Coming early next year, we can’t wait for you to explore its beautiful otherworldly depths.
In November we announced that Ironwood Studios’ highly-anticipated debut, Pacific Drive will release in February 2024. We can't wait for players to drive deep into the unknown; chart the Zone, uncover its hidden history while outrunning the deadly anomalies that reside there.
We also announced that the highly anticipated title Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn by New Zealand based A44 Games will release in summer 2024. Join Nor and Enki on their mission to defeat the Gods, retake the world, and close the Door to the Great Below.
Last but by no means least, we announced Cat Quest III, the latest instalment in the million-selling series from the genuis minds at The Gentlebros. With a trailer narrated by none other than Matt Berry no less, purrfect.
